Duterte News - Duterte admits existence of BPI accounts

Mayor Keeps up Records CONTAIN THOUSANDS, NOT MILLIONS

BALANGA CITY, Bataan—Davao City Chairman Rodrigo Duterte on Wednesday affirmed that he has a few financial balances at the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), one of which was with the Julia Vargas Parkway branch in Ortigas.
Addressing journalists here, Duterte said he has a BPI account on the said branch yet rushed to say that it didn't contain millions as opposed to the cases of Trillanes that it has over P200 million.
"Meron ako sa BPI. Meron ako sa BPI. Hindi ganun kalaki. Thousands lang. It couldn't go past even..'Yung isa 17 (thousand) 'yung isa beneath 50 (thousand.)," he told columnists.
(I have accounts at BPI. In any case, it doesn't contain that much cash. Simply thousands. It couldn't go past that. One contains P17,000, alternate has P50,000.)
The extreme talking chairman challenged Trillanes to execute a sworn statement itemizing where and how he got bank records demonstrating his affirmed millions in the store.

"Execute an oath. Where did you get it? Whenever, how and for what reason?" Duterte said, including that he would open the records if Trillanes consents to his test.
He even tested Trillanes to record a body of evidence against him.
"How about we make it lawful. Record a case," he said.
He kept up Trillanes' allegations that he has millions in bank were "manufactured."
"Sabi ko that is manufactured. Meron ako, I'll give you one record (with) 17 thousand (I as of now said it's created. I have one, I'll give you one record which has P17,000)," he said.
"Malaki 'yan twelve. Naubos na sa gastos. Meron akong bank (account). 'Di abot ng milliion I will guarantee you. Kailan ko dad kayo binola (It used to be enormous, yet I spent it as of now. I have a financial balance, yet it doesn't contain a million. At the point when did I ever trick you?)," he included.
He said Trillanes was a "fellow with lost vision."
"You make it (the test) legitimately. I won't play into your hands. Why should he request a waiver?" he said.
